Paintings, drawings and prints

Commissions

I’ve been interested in drawing and painting from as long as I can remember. After leaving school I studied creative design at Loughborough where I specialised in visual studies, silversmithing and ceramics.  Spent, 35 years working in education, writing and teaching art, craft and latterly, computer aided design. During that time I painted as a hobby and was taught life drawing by Gill Nadin during the 1980s.

After retiring from full time teaching in 2010, to pursue a career in painting, drawing and printing, I now work in a wide range of materials including mixed media and relief printing from my  studio at Forge Arts in  Hackthorn, Lincolnshire,
My wide ranging subject matter is drawn from observation of the world around me, atmosphere and personal experience. I exhibit my work locally and have paintings in private collections in Australia, France, Germany and the USA.  I was accepted as a member of the Lincolnshire Artists’ Society in April 2010 and I exhibit regularly with Art On The Map in West Lincolnshire.

I am available to give talks and demonstrations to clubs and societies and run courses in painting, drawings and printmaking at my studio. Please contact me for further details.
